Case report
We report a case of metastatic clear cell sarcoma of soft tissue followed up over a long-term. A 78-year-old female was referred to us with a right swollen thigh in 2002. Physical examination revealed a 3×2cm hard elastic mass in the right thigh. The skin appeared normal. Histologically the tumor was characterized by pale-staining tumor cells arranged in nests. HMB-45 and S-100 were positive. We performed wide resected operation in July 2002. Metastasis to the left thigh and left back muscle was found four and nine years later respectively.
We performed wide-area resection on each, and at present, there has been no recurrence and metastasis.
