This study aimed to reveal normative precautionary observation for crossing bicycles when turning left at signalized intersections. We analyzed eye movement data of a driving instructor when he drove a vehicle equipped with a driving recorder and four cameras, Through conducting hearing survey with the recorded images and analyzing the experimental data, we concluded that the instructor assumed crossing bicycles closed to a pedestrian crossing from four directions and he checked the existence of crossing bicycles by three steps. Finally, we revealed the sequence of normative precautionary observation which could prevent the accidents with crossing bicycles in all directions.

We compared 3D image quality of the three different types of 3D televisions by the method of paired comparison. Three 3D video clips were used for evaluation. The results indicated that the lenticular glassless 3D television was the lowest total image quality. In two of three video clips, there were no significant differences between the polarized glasses and the active shutter glasses. Factors affecting subjective image quality of 3D televisions were discussed.

We evaluated the subjective readability of nine different Japanese fonts displayed on a high resolution LCD viewer. The participants consist of three different age groups. The results indicated that the dominant factors affecting the subjective readability of fonts were character's weight and size of kana characters. Age differences in the results were discussed.

本論文は，駐車車両死角から道路を横断する歩行者との事故防止に向けて，駐車車両側方通過時における不安全運転行動の特徴を解明することを目的とした．規範運転に関する教習所指導員へのヒヤリングに基づき，駐車車両奥側通過時の側方間隔と車速，および駐車車両付近の確認を切り上げるタイミングを評価指標とした．指導員が助手席に同乗して不安全であると診断した一般ドライバの実車運転データを，指導員の運転行動と比較して分析した．その結果，自然な流れで安全に走行できない側方間隔をとる，減速して対応する必要がある側方間隔でも十分に減速しない，死角が見え始める手前で確認を切り上げるという特徴を明らかにした．これらの不安全運転行動は，歩行者の飛び出しを正しく想定していないことや，衝突を安全に回避できる車速や側方間隔を正しく理解していないことに起因すると考えられ，これらの要因が不安全運転行動全体に占める割合について考察した．

We compared the visual fatigue in viewing 2D and 3D movies. The results showed that the 3D movie causes more visual fatigue than the content displayed in 2D. Correlation between visual functions and visual fatigue in 3D movie are discussed.
