Akihiro Kubota

Born in 1960. Professor, Art and Media Course, Department of Information Design / Director, International Exchange Center / Fellow, Art Archives Center / Chief Professor, Experimental Workshop (EWS). Doctoral degree from the University of Tokyo Graduate School, Division of Engineering Department of Naval Architecture. 

Received the Award of Distinction of the Hybrid Art of Prix Ars Electronica in 2015 for the first art satellite “ARTSAT 1: INVADER”. Received the 66th Japan Media Arts Minister’s Award (Media Arts Division) for the achievements of the “ARTSAT Project”.
