In Japan, horticultural therapy (HT), therapeutic horticulture, animal assisted therapy (AAT), animal assisted activity (AAA), and forest therapy are conducted as Green care related activities. Concerning horticultural therapy, one prefectural academy, some universities, junior colleges, vocational schools, incorporated nonprofit organizations have their own curriculum to train horticultural therapists. The number of people has been gradually increasing who conduct horticultural therapy as specialists in medical, welfare services for the aged or people with disabilities, and the fields of education and landscape architecture. © 2013 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
