The aim of this paper is to clarify the fundamental form of Broadacre City, which is Frank Lloyd Wnght's ideal city, through analysis of his thought of city The task is carried through analyzing the concepts of "integration of decentralization," "democracy," and "organic," which are presented by himself to understand his city planning Through this analysis, it is made clear that the Broadacre's disposition of houses, with the sufficient ground and with educational institutions of nature-study as the central, is interpreted as the growing form of dwelling of man who is united to Nature and also holds individuality
The intension of this paper is to make an analysis of Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural theory through his concepts of "the third dimension" and "depth" as quality of it. Through this analysis, it is made clear that the third dimension is the horizon where spiritual interpretation of a physical matter and physical interpretation of a spiritual matter are crossing. It is possible to say that through designing architecture in three dimensions he intended to open the new world in the third dimension.
The task of this paper is to make analysis of Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural-theory through his concepts of "growth" and "structure." He asserted architecture should be built like a tree growing. The concept of growth signifies eternal becoming from "Idea," that produces unity in variety in Nature, to particular something. The concept of structure means the system which supports growth, and is the essential framework of being. Through this analysis, it is indicated that the concept of Earth is the fundamental structure from which all beings grow, including Nature, architecture as Native, and human-nature.
The task of this paper is to make an analysis of Frank Lloyd Wright's concept of the "within." It is related to three concepts: man, nature and architecture. Therefore in this paper, sentences including the word "within" are picked out from his latter three books and analyzed through considering the structure of these three concepts. In conclusion, it is made clear that Wright's concept of the "within" is the basic principle of his architectural thought.
The intention of this paper is to make a thematic explication of the way of realizing an integrity of inseparable elements in the House. The analysis of the form in the Morris House by Kahn will be in two parts : Part 1 illustrates the modifications of form over the three versions, that is the units system A, the units system B and three-parts system. Part 2 analyzes the meaning of the process of form modification in three ontological aspects. The meaning of the Form of the Morris House is analyzed through three diagrams derived from Kahn's sketches.
