欧文抄録:p.293Hezhen is a Tungusic language spoken by the Hezhen living in Heilongjiang Province in China. The Hezhen population is currently about 4600. It was speculated that there would be 19 native Hezhen speakers by the end of 2000. However, according to a survey conducted by the author of this paper, as of 2012 less than 10 Hezhen can speak their native language. This paper presents the transcript of a conversation between two such native speakers, You Wenlan and He Shuzhen, recorded at Jiejinkou village in Heilongjiang Province in China on August 29, 2012. You Wenlan, a Kilen dialect speaker, was born in 1946 in Qindeli village; and He Shuzhen, also a Kilen dialect speaker, was born in 1937 in Fuiin village. The length of their conversation was about 26 minutes, and the topics ranged from the weather, their surroundings, and the interior decoration of You's house to their habit of burning paper money during the Zhongyuan festival.
