    In 2024, I commenced with a piloting scheme for next year's Consulting and Advising sessions meeting students on an individual, face-to-face basis in both the spring and autumn semesters to advise on how to learn independently according to individual strengths and weaknesses in terms of English and study skills. The experiences gained in these piloting sessions will inform the inception of the LARECE Learning Commons Consultation and Advising sessions in 2025.

    Since April 2024, I have been a participating member of the CLIL Projects team offering a course entitled "Current Issues in Japan" in which students have the opportunity to discuss and learn about the major current issues confronting Japanese society.

    I visited five SALCs at universities in the Kanto region in order to learn about current practices in order to be informed for the set-up of the LARECE Learning Commons in 2025 (Consultation and Advising sessions). In each case I was able to consult with the directors of the centers for advice on our LLC project. The universities visited in the spring semester of 2024 were: Chiba University Sophia University Kanda University of International Studies Shirayuri University Tokyo International University
