The number of maintenance work increases as the life span of buildings become longer. This study focuses on calculating the environmental load given by maintenance work of LCCM demonstration house mainly using Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) method for buildings, to compare with the environmental load given by the construction work, and to consider effective measures to reduce the environmental load given by the maintenance work in the future. The environmental load was calculated as 550 kg-CO2, which is 1.4% of the environmental load given by the construction work. 50% of the CO2emission was given by the manufacture of materials and disposal of waste, and 45% was given by the transportation of workers and materials, so it is considered effective to lessen the CO2emission by the manufacture, disposal, and transportation to reduce the total environmental load given by the maintenance work.
