This study describes the complete nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectral assignment of a bisecting hybrid-type oligosaccharide 1, transferred by Mucor hiemalis endo-beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase (Endo-M). Through H-1- and C-13-NMR, DQF-COSY, HSQC, HMBC, TOCSY, and NOESY experiments, we determine the structure of the glycoside linkage formed by the Endo-M transglycosylation, i.e., the connection between GlcNAc and GlcNAc in oligosaccharide 1. 本来科学系ではない服飾造形学類の学生に科学系実験・実習科目を指導する際の、理解力および取り組み意識の改善が課題となっていた。この課題解決の最大のポイントは、まず実験の意味を理解させ、現象や結果を解釈できるようにすることである。対象が実験であることから、手技、操作、観察の全てにおいて視覚的に説明することが極めて重要であり、本プロジェクトではこれを40人を超える学生に同時に確実に行える方法の実現という方針で取り組んだ。 対象とする実験室には、2系統の画像出力が可能であったので、デジタル出力が可能なマイクロスコープやサーモカメラ等を導入し、同時にパソコンを制御機器に使う測定装置や電子顕微鏡なども、スクリーンやパネルに映し、見せることに徹底的に拘りその教育効果を検証した。 また、3次元コンピューターグラフィックス（３DCG）を取り扱う授業で、ディスプレイ上の疑似立体を実際の造形物として手に取って見せる手法として３Dプリンターを導入した。 以上の結果、現在の機器の操作性の高さや、十分な解像度などから、教える立場からも教えられる立場からもほぼストレス無く画像を利用できたことで、学生の評価は非常に高く、教育効果も大きいものであった。３Dプリンター出力についても、立体造形物を手にとって３Dデータを検証できることで、３Dグラフィックスへの理解を大きく前進させることができた。 一方、当初より出席状況の把握は本プロジェクトのような教育効果の検証には有益であると考えられ、簡便かつ迅速に出欠を自動管理できる仕組みを併せてプロジェクトの課題とした。 出席管理は、まず最も簡便で確実であり、他大学でも大規模に普及している方法として、学生証の利用を試みた。費用を抑えるため、既存の学生証をそのまま使うこととし、読み取り機もパソコンとカードリーダだけの簡素なものとし、プログラムは自作した。出席を確認して記録を残すという点では完璧なものであったが、代理出席（世に言う代返である）に対して大きな課題を残した。学生証は一定の学生にとって全く貴重品としての認識の無いもので、出席のために友人に預けることに精神的抵抗は微塵も無く、むしろ代理出席を助長しかねないという事が分かった。 そこで、出席状況がコンピュータで取得可能で、絶対に代理出席が不可能な手法として生体認証を検討した。パソコンレベルで実現可能で精神的な負担が少なく、かつ既に社会的にも認知されていると考えられる手のひら静脈認証を採用し、パソコン上で出席管理ができるようにプログラムを開発した。この仕組みを使って大小様々な規模のクラスで学期（4ヶ月）に渡る実証実験を行った。 その結果は、マスター登録データの品質の問題からごく一部のケースで手のひらの認識速度に課題を残したものの、代理出席を完全にゼロにしコンピュータで即時集計・管理が可能な出席システムとしては比類無いものが構築できた。

This paper describes the synthesis of a beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CyD) derivative conjugated with a C, C-glucopyranoside containing a benzene unit. Its doxorubicin-inclusion ability and structure are also discussed. SPR analysis revealed that the beta-CyD conjugate had a high inclusion association value of 3.8 x 10(6) M-1 for immobilized doxorubicin. NMR structural analysis suggested that its high doxorubicin-inclusion ability was due to the formation of the inclusion complex as a result of the pi-pi stacking interaction between the benzene ring of the conjugate and the A ring of doxorubicin. This paper describes a novel synthetic approach to exo-glycals from 1-C-vinyl-D-glycopyranose derivatives via the S(N)1'-type substitution mechanism. The reaction of the 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzyl-1-C-vinyl-alpha-D-glycopyranose derivatives with several trimethylsilylated nucleophiles was investigated. The reactions in dichloromethane-acetonitrile (1: 1) at -78 degrees C in the presence of 20 mol% trimethylsilyl trifluoromethanesulfonate using allyltrimethylsilane and silyl enol ethers as the nucleophiles stereoselectively afforded the Z-exo-glycal derivatives in good yields.

There are many kind of carbohydrate compound having strong bioactivity. Authors had been reported that natural polysaccharide and olligosaccharide would have novel biological activity by chemical modification. Structure analysis of chemically modified dietary fiber polygalactosamine having NH_2 group on 2nd position by use of molecular force field calculation wsa also reported. In this paper, we described that synthesis and structure analysis of sulfated polysaccharides, such as polygalactosamin and chitosan. Molecurar orbital and semi-empirical molecular orbital methods were used for 3-dimentional graphical mapping of electron density, electrostatic potential (the energy of interaction of a point positive charge with the nuclei of a molecule), and local ionaization potential (a measure of the ease with which electrons are detached from a region of space).
