"OKOME" is a fully digital course material produced by NHK(Japan Broadcasting Corporation). This material was designed so as to combine the TV programs, web contents and video database distributed through the Internet, and real activities conducted at each class. At the start of the service, a research team was formed to evaluate the effect of the material. 13 elementary schools were appointed as pilot schools and various data from these schools have been collected In this paper data from an elementary school were analyzed to examine whether image structure, amount of knowledge, and ability of research planning were changed through a-year-long integrated learning. The comparison of the data between the pre-test and post-test shows that the children's quantitative and qualitative knowledge and initiative attitude toward inquiry and presentation were promoted through the course. Further research questions concerning evaluation of long-term integrated learning are discussed based on this pilot analysis.
